I love baking, but as you know, most baked goods aren’t exactly made up of healthy ingredients! Ever since I became a Mom, I’ve been on the lookout for healthy baking recipes and a cake recipe with a healthy grain like oats has always been on my mind. I try to add oats to pretty much everything – dosa ,uttapam, idli, chilla or cookies. Here’s a look at some of the nutritional benefits of oats for children:
- Oats contain more soluble fiber than any other grain.
- It is low in saturated fat and very low in cholesterol and sodium.
- It is rich in manganese and is a good source of thiamine, magnesium and phosphorous.
- Oats is the only cereal containing a legume-like protein as their storage protein.
- Oats protein is equivalent in quantity to soy protein, meat, milk and egg protein.

- Oil – 3 tblsp
- Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
- Yogurt – 1 cup

6. Allow the brownie cake to cool down completely before cutting it into squares.
There are so many ways you can serve these brownies – with icing sugar dusted on the top, with a glaze of chocolate or with ice cream. They also taste perfect just the way they are!
