Rajma or Red Kidney beans are known for their great taste and nutritional benefits. However my son hates Rajma and he carefully removes all the rajma from the Rajma masala and just slurps the curry. Little does he know that I add blended boiled rajma to the Masala 😉
But when I made this Rajma Sandwich recipe by Kanika, he couldn’t differentiate what is inside and ate without a fuss 🙂
Benefits of Rajma / Red Kidney Beans for children
1. They strengthen the Immune System.
2. It is rich in Iron Content.
3. It is rich in Vitamin K and Vitamin
How to make Rajma Sandwich for Kids?
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup boiled rajma
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1/2 green capsicum finely chopped
- 1/2 red bellpepper finely chopped
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- Bread slices as required
- Oil for frying
Method
1. Mix all the ingredients except bread slices.
2. Cut the corners of bread and wet it with water slightly.
3. Put a little mixture on the bread slice.
4. Cover with another wet slice of bread.
5. Press the slices together,so that the filling does not comes out.
6. Prepare the other sandwiches like this.
7. Either deep fry or shallow fry them or cook them over a tawa (recommended)
8. Serve with dip of your choice.
