There’s something fun about eating noodles, slurping it all the way to the end! That’s probably why kids love it so much. But what do you do if you’ve made roti and the kids are clamoring for noodles instead? Easy – make roti noodles!
Masala Whole Wheat Roti Noodles
Ingredients:
- 5 roti/chapatti/parantha
- 1 carrot thinly sliced
- 2 onions sliced
- 1 capsicum sliced
- 1 tsp chili sauce
- 3-4 garlic finely chopped
- ½ tsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- ½ tsp soya sauce
- ¼ tsp red chili powder
- salt to taste
- ¼ tsp chaat masala
Instructions:
1. Cut the rotis into thin strips similar to noodles.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Cook onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes in oil.
3. Toss in the capsicum and carrots and cook for another 2-3 minutes on high heat stirring continuously.
4. Add all the sauces, salt, and chilli powder and chaat masala.
5. Now add the roti strips and give it a good mix so that the sauces coat the roti noodles properly. Serve hot.
This recipe works well as an evening snack, breakfast or even dinner! It’s also a great option for the lunchbox. You can add any vegetables of your choice, like broccoli, cabbage, peppers, corn or sprouts. The sky’s the limit!
