1. Beat the egg well with a fork. Add the milk and beat again till well mixed.

2. Add vanilla or cinnamon to the egg-milk mixture and beat again to combine.

3. Pour the mixture into a small heat proof bowl and steam it. You can use an idli cooker or a steamer. If using a pressure cooker, add sufficient water and cook for 1 to 2 whistles.

4. Serve the pudding warm.

For a thicker texture for toddlers, you can add some corn flour to the mixture. You can also make this pudding only with egg whites for a less yellowish pudding.
