Cream Of Spinach Soup Recipe for Toddlers

Soups are not only appetizers but also super healthy. Spinach soup is a great way to get the many benefits of spinach while keeping it tasty. Spinach is good for eyes and also provides stamina. Adding cream on the top lends more flavor and richness to the dish.
Even if your baby is  not a Popeye fan, they will love this spinach soup which can be made with simple ingredients very quickly. This recipe can be given to baby.

Ingredients

All you will need is-
  • Blanched and pureed spinach- 4 tbsp
  • Grated garlic- 1 clove (you can skip if your toddler doesn’t like the taste)
  • Wheat flour- 1 tbsp
  • Milk- one and a half cup
  • Black pepper powder- a pinch
  • Butter- 1 tbsp
  • Fresh cream- 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

The simple recipe-

1. Take butter in a non-stick pan and heat it.
2. Then add garlic and sauté a little.
3. Add wheat flour and sauté well for 2 minutes. Add milk and keep stirring so as to avoid any lumps.
4. Let the milk come to a boil and add black pepper after lowering the heat.
5. Stir in the spinach puree and let the mixture cook for 2-3 minutes. Keep stirring.
6. Add salt, mix well and remove the pan from heat.
7. Take out the soup in a bowl and add fresh cream.
8. Serve it warm to your little one.
