Come summer, and kids’ appetites take a collective nosedive. You can’t blame them – the heat is intense! All they feel like doing is drinking something and running around. Heavy food is definitely a no-no during this season, as it feels uncomfortable and takes longer to digest. That’s why salads, watery soups and juices take the lead during the hot weather. The recipe we have today is not just appealing because of its cooling effect, its also a sight for sore eyes! Presenting, here are some gorgeous, colorful fruit skewers for kids this summer!
Colorful Fruit Skewers for Summer
Ingredients:
- Black grapes
- Green grapes
- Bananas – cut into small pieces and dipped in orange juice
- Pineapple – cut into small pieces
- Orange slices
- Kiwi – cut into small pieces
- Strawberries
- Wooden skewers
- Melted chocolate
- For the Honey vanilla yogurt dip
- Yogurt – 1 cup
- Honey – 2 tbsp
- Vanilla extract – ¼ tsp
Instructions:
- Wash the fruits nicely and pat them dry with kitchen tissue.
- Cut into pieces if required.
- Thread the fruits in the wooden skewers and chill in refrigerator.
- Fill the melted chocolate in a piping bag and pipe over the cold fruits.
- For the honey vanilla yogurt dip
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
- Chill for a few hours.
The honey vanilla dip adds another level to this snack and the chocolate makes it sinful enough for dessert! We can’t think of anything better for kids this summer, can you?
