How to make Beetroot Halwa for Babies without Milk

Please follow the 3 Day Rule for introducing the any new food. If you have already given beetroot puree before, you can go ahead with this delicious halwa.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium size beetroot
  • 1 Tsp of powdered organic jaggery (for babies above 1 year)
  • 1 tsp of ghee
Method
1. Wash and peel the beetroot.
2. Chop them into small pieces.
3. Steam the beetroot in a cooker or bowl filled with water.
4. Puree the steamed beetroot.
5. In a kadai, heat a teaspoon of ghee.
6. Add in the beet puree and saute till raw smell leaves.
7. For kids over one year, add jaggery to the puree. I have added sugar here for my toddler.
8. Add a pinch of elachi powder and saute well.
9. Saute till ghee leaves the halwa.
10. ” Beetroot Halwa is Ready “
I have garnished with almonds for decoration purpose, please do not give raw almonds to babies.
This can be given to babies after 6 months, for babies above 9 months, dry fruit powder can also be added.
In the same way, carrot halwa can also be done.

NOTES
I have added <g class="gr_ gr_369 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="369" data-gr-id="369">mishri sugar since I cooked for my toddler.
A little breastmilk can be added to make it a little watery.
Half a teaspoon of dry fruits powder can be added
