Apple Jam Recipe for Babies/Toddlers

We have to be a Novel Chef to make our fussy toddlers/babies eat. Every day we have to introduce new innovative recipes and meals to entice them to eat.

Apple Jam Recipe

Age – Can be given from 7 months onwards

Easy Homemade Apple Jam without pectin

Ingredients

Method

  1. Slice 2 apples and finely chop it.
  2. In a bowl marinate the apples with lemon juice for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Don’t marinate for a long time as the apples may turn brown.
  4. In a pan, add ghee/butter and add the cinnamon sticks to it.
  5. After a few seconds remove the cinnamon sticks, as we are adding them just for flavor.
  6. Add the chopped apple pieces and cook till soft.
  7. Add Jaggery/brown sugar and cook till both apple and jaggery blend together. (skip this step for babies under one year)
  8. NO WATER SHOULD BE ADDED TO COOK THE APPLES
  9. Allow the mixture to cool.
  10. Blend this in a blender and store it in a dry bottle.
  11. It can be stored up to 2 to 3 days.

An easy to make apple jam with jaggery and cinnamon
